NJ PTC CLASS

In this 2-3 hour class, I will discuss firearms safety, range safety, EDC mindset, equipment, drawing from concealment, state laws, and use of force. This course will include the shooting qualification to satisfy all NJ ADMIN CODE (N.J.A.C. 13:54-2.4) requirements.
This is NOT an entry level firearms course. You must score 80% or higher to pass the qualification (CCARE), and will get two attempts. Specific follow up training is available for new shooters struggling to pass the required qualification, or new shooters who require handgun training prior to the class.

- Driver’s License / NJ FID (Not required for out of state residents)

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL 1

The curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to utilize a pistol from concealment effectively irrespective of your background or profession. Topics covered will range and progress from use of force considerations to firearms selection, setup, gear selection, carry considerations, pistol manipulations, fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, multiple round engagements, multiple target engagements, positional shooting, and movement.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL 2

Survival is dependent upon having a plan of action and being prepared to immediately implement said plan when confronted with an armed assailant. This advanced course provides students with the techniques and knowledge necessary to defend themselves and react appropriately while offering ample training time to practice.
This is an advanced class, Defensive Handgun Level 1 (or an equivalent class from a reputable instructor) is required at a minimum. Students should be able to demonstrate proficiency in weapon handling, working from concealment, and single hand shooting techniques.

Course Outline:
- Weapon manipulation within contact distances
- Utilize defensive shooting techniques from the ground
- Maintain accuracy while moving in any direction
- Accurately and efficiently engage multiple targets
- Perform contact shots safely and effectively
- Determine potential reactionary time based on distance and threat type
- Determine the type of sight picture necessary based on target distance and size
- Apply point or precision based on target distance, size, and time
- Advanced skill building exercises combining movement, shooting, and accuracy with time constraints to evaluate existing abilities
DEFENSIVE CARBINE LEVEL 1

This introductory level course provides the student with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle, load, fire, and clear common semi-automatic rifles. Time is spent both in the classroom and on the firing range in a comfortable learning environment. This is a holistic and comprehensive course designed to introduce students to the world of rifles.

PISTOL MOUNTED OPTICS LEVEL 1

Learn how to maximize your performance with a Red Dot Sight (RDS). This course teaches the student safety, drawing from and recovering to the holster, stance, grip, and vision as it applies to a red dot sight. This course will also highlight the many benefits when shooting with a RDS. Whether learning to shoot for sport, competition, self-defense, or skill development, leave this class with the knowledge and fundamental skills to make you successful with a handgun mounted optic.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private training sessions are an excellent way to receive individualized training solutions to assist you in your skill building journey.
$100/HR and minimum of 2 hours. Private sessions can be conducted at a range of your choosing or Quinton Sportsmen's Club in Quinton, NJ.
